Family Advocates Program

Overview

GOAL:  Increases local access to well-equipped community-based advocates who understand systems and can connect people with autism and their families to high quality, evidence-based resources.

HUB TEAM:  CDC’s Act Early Ambassador to Missouri/ECHO Autism Communities Director of Strategic Initiatives/Parent of an autistic person; Program Coordinator, Missouri Family to Family/ Parent of an autistic person; Information Specialist Statewide Lead for Missouri Department of Mental Health Division of Developmental Disabilities/ Parent of an autistic person; Pediatrician/ Parent of an autistic person; Licensed Behavior Analyst/Educational Administrator;  University of Missouri Director of Accessibility & American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator, National Advocacy Expert

TARGET AUDIENCE:  Autistic people; Family members of people with autism
